Latey I have taken some interest in roleplaying, something I have previously not offered much though, and what opportunities it holds for storytelling. I have always been a fan of stories and this lead to me starting to write my own fantasy world about a year ago.
I am looking to expand certain aspects of the lore for my universe, as well as have some fun, and I would like to do some of it through RPing.
Some basics about the world and the time in history this will be set can be found below. If youu are interested, leave a comment or send me a private message.
Atenar is the home of the mortal races and in the west an Empire rises. The Narodian people long for the past when humans ruled the continent and has once more gathered the forces necessary to try to make this a reality once more. In the East the Sakir is pressed up against the ashen and volcanic land of Sansaya and tries to figure out what to do about the human threat that slowly grows nearer, their ancient enemies, the Katani, are the only thing that stands between them and the Empire, and they are slowly incorporated into this warmachine through political alliances. The lands east of Sansaya are all but lot to history.
In this time of strife, the gevernments can no longer guarantee the protection of the lesser settlements on the land and crime rises, along with something more sinister.
Many stories, big and small can be told in this era of the history of Atenar. If you have a preference, I am more than willing to adopt to it.
Some basics on the races that are available in this part of the world:
Narodians are the western human people who are the closest decendants of the original human species who settled the continent many years ago. They are split into several subgroups, but mostly they can be summarized in two groups; the warlike and industrious people of the north and the ones who take more pride in trade and political games in the south.
The Ketani are humans who left the religion of their ancestors and started to worship the spirits of nature itself. To get away from the percecution early in their history they fled to the mountains and established communities there. Rapidly they became a strong people and through their pact with nature itself, they achieved enhanced abilities as warriors and craftsmen. By the time the 2nd Empire started to rise, they were strong enough to withstand almost any invasion, but this also makes them a potential tide turner in the reformation of the Old Kingdom(the 1st Empire), an effort some say is doomed to fail.
The Sakir are the original inhabitants of the continent the Empire now threatens and many still remember the tales of how they were treated as second class citizen when the humans first conquered the lands. Once upon a time they might have been able to mount a resistance to such a force, but since the fall of the Old Kingdom something drastic have happened. The Dragons who once forced the humans to leave the northern islands came to settle in the lands of the Sakir, for reasons unknown. In face of extinction, they sought a treaty with the creatures, but their survival as a people came at a high prize. Their land and the knowledge of how the Dragons could remake it in their own image was the price they demanded and now the Sakir live in a small land between Sansaya and Ketor, the mountainous home of the Ketani.
They are split between the magical elite of the Nalakari and the Sekap commoners, trying to keep on to the knowledge of the past so it will not be forgotten.
They are similar to, but somewhat smaller than humans and their eyes open vertically rather than horizontally. Their hands end in something between fingers and claws. Fangs are not uncommon, and a trait they all have are more pointed ears than humans. Because they are of another Blood than the Narodians and Ketani, they are not afflicted by the same curses.
As a last piece of information about the RP itself, I will only accept 3 people for now. I will only do 1 on 1 RPs, being fairly new at this.
